OneJet hasn’t been around that long. The Pittsburgh based airline was only founded in 2015, but the future looks promising for this growing business jet airline.

The OneJet Ethos

OneJet currently operates around 180 flights a week on their seven seater jets. Their initial aim was to fill a gap in the market left behind when many larger airlines merged and dropped some small city to city links. While these routes weren’t worthwhile for the big airlines, there are of course, still those business passengers that want an easy and quick way to travel those routes, without having to change flights. This tactic seems to be working well for them so far!

Business travellers will often pay more for a better, faster service. For those who travel frequently, it’s so important to save time. Flights with the larger airlines are somewhat cheaper, but they can take several hours longer when there are no non-stop options available. For as little as $60 extra, business people can fly with OneJet and shave several hours off their flight time, as well as the inconvenience of having to change planes, with the possibility of long lay overs awaiting the connecting flight.

OneJet’s plans for the future

Expansion is on the horizon for OneJet. The airline is set to transition from their current seven seat jets, to thirty seat Embraer E135s. With these new planes they are hoping to offer in the region of 400 flights a year and these plans are set to be in place by the end of 2018.

Ultimate Takeover

OneJet recently announced that they are buying Ultimate Jet Charters, an Ohio based corporate shuttle service. The purchase price has not been disclosed.

Putting the bad press behind them

OneJet has suffered a little criticism in the past due to flights being cancelled. CEO of OneJet, Matthew Maguire is confident that switching over to the more reliable Embraer jets will put an end to the teething problems experienced by the airline with their small and less reliable seven seat jets.

A luxury experience

The quality of service aboard a OneJet flight is also of a high standard, which brings travellers back to the airline regularly. With complimentary drinks and snacks, onboard WiFi and a range of national newspapers available, the time passes quickly, and with decent sized comfortable seats, passengers arrive at their destination fully refreshed.
