Planning a kids party can be tricky. You hired a bouncy castle last year, their best friend has already had a magician the month before. So it’s time to wrack your brain for some new ideas. You could go roller skating, or perhaps take in a movie. Or, maybe you’d like to hire a private jet for little Lucy’s 7th birthday party. Yes, you heard me right, this is now ‘a thing’ as long as you’ve got deep pockets.
The price you pay for a sky party
You’re going to be the coolest parent around when you send out the invites to this one. Aviation company VistaJet can offer you private hire of a jet for just (ahem!) $12,000 an hour. Then you can book the party planners from Sharky and George for only an extra $3,000 to throw you a party in the sky. With a minimum spend of $39,000 this is certainly not going to be popular with the masses, but for the elite few who truly want to give their kids the very best of everything, this is definitely one of the most extravagant party ideas you’ll find.
Pick your theme
These experiences are themed, so you could pick Alice in Wonderland, or perhaps Movie Making. For older children there’s also a Secret Mission experience. Each theme comes complete with costumes, activities and themed food. For the Secret Mission each child gets a briefcase of spy gadgets and cryptography kits. Aspiring film stars choosing the Movie Making party will get the chance to try out green screen techniques, and the Alice in Wonderland party guests can enjoy a Mad Hatter’s tea party.
Younger fliers are on the increase
With private jet travel growing in popularity, and VistaJet reporting that one in four of their flights has a child on board, there’s certainly a market out there. There are plenty of wealthy people willing to spend their money on private jet flights, preferring the luxury, personal service and privacy offered by private jet companies to travelling with standard airlines. Of course, many of those rich travelers will have children, and when money is no object, a party on a plane sounds like a lot of fun! For the rest of us, we’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed that one day we’ll get an invite!
