Qatar Airways’ inaugural flight from Doha to Malta has landed at Malta International Airport, marking the launch of the airline’s newest gateway to Europe.

Qatar Airways has launched a new destination in Europe: Malta. The Doha-Malta route will be operated by an Airbus A320, four times per week during the winter, and every day during the summer. Each flight to Malta will carry up to 12 passengers in Economy Class and 120 passengers in Business Class.

“We are delighted to launch direct services to Malta, the latest addition to Qatar Airways’ rapidly expanding European network” said Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker.

Commenting on the new milestone, Malta International Airport CEO Alan Borg said:

“We are delighted to welcome this award-winning flag carrier to our airline family and to grow our route network further with the addition of Doha.”

Qatar Airways has added three new destinations during the summer with the launch of flights to Izmir (Turkey), Rabat (Morocco) and now Malta.
