The best airlines in 2018

In the top spot of the best airlines in 2018 is Qatar Airways. A high level of service and great record for punctuality set this airline above all the others. In second place is Lufthansa, Germany’s largest airline. This comes as a bit of a surprise as the airline didn’t even make it into the top 10 last year. It soared up the rankings with a great score for service. Coming in at position 3 in the rankings is Etihad Airways which scored well in many categories. In 4th place is last year’s overall winner, Singapore Airlines. While it achieved the highest score for level of service, it slid down the rankings due to scoring low on claims processing.

South African Airways have made it into the Top 10 for the first time this year, in the very respectable 5th position. In 6th come Austrian Airlines, while it’s still a good result, it has slipped down the rankings as it was 4th in 2017. First timers to the Top 10 is Greek airline Aegean which made it to position 7 due to scoring highly on service and punctuality. Another punctual airline is Qantas at number 8 and in 9th we have Air Malta. Air Malta actually scored very highly in many categories, but a low score for customer service really let it down. Finally, in 10th position of the best airlines in 2018 is Virgin Atlantic, falling two places from last year.
